CONCORD, NH – Officials from the New Hampshire Lottery have announced that Sherel S. Lottery officials revealed Snow was the jackpot winner Wednesday during a check presentation at Market Basket on DW Highway in Nashua.  As the store that sold the winning ticket, Market Basket received a $30,000 retailer incentive.  Snow was not present for the announcement and check presentation to Market Basket.

“We’re thrilled for Mrs. Snow and her family,” said Executive Director Rick Wisler. “This is the 156th jackpot winning ticket sold in New Hampshire for the Megabucks game since it began in 1985.”

The numbers that Snow selected to win the top prize with on August 16th were 3-4-9-12-24-34.  The estimated annuity value of the jackpot was $3.7 million dollars or $150,000 per year for 25 years.  Since she selected to take the one time cash payment, after federal taxes she will receive a net amount of $1,777,939.12.

The last Tri-State Megabucks jackpot winner from the Granite State was in September of 2007.   The P & D Trust of Laconia elected to take a lump sum cash payment of $485,224 before taxes.  The August 16th jackpot had been building since it was last won on May 17th, 2008 in the state of Maine.  That winning ticket was sold at McFadden’s Variety in Lubec.  To date there have been 197 jackpot winners from Maine, 155 jackpot winners from New Hampshire and 79 jackpot winners from Vermont.
